Cleaning systems

Adhesive products can easily be removed by means of scraping sprockets,  cleaning discs, or brush cleaning systems.

Plungers are mounted to the tooth flanks of the
drive sprocket, which push out adhesive or non-
free flowing bulk materials stuck between the
discs (forced discharge).

Cleaning discs

Depending on the branch of industry, different
cleaning discs are used: oversized discs or brush
discs, elastic seal discs or scraping discs clean
the tubes of the conveying run and return run
from the inside and prevent adherence. These
cleaning discs can easily be detached from or
attached to an existing chain.

Brush cleaning stations are used for forced
discharge or cleaning. The plastic brushes
are driven by small worm gear motors.

The returning conveyor chain is cleaned in
the upper or return run by offset brushes.
The scraped off bulk material falls right back
into the conveying run to be transported again.

With this type of station, the bulk material
can detach itself from the chain. Just before
the chain enters the return run, two brushes
clean off any possible residues.

With this module, an inner brush kicks in
as soon as the conveyor chain enters the
discharge area (drive station).
Therefore, the sprocket can operate free
of any product already. Then, the outside
brush clears the outside of the conveyor
chain of any product residues.
